LAKEWOOD, NJ – Monmouth University Women's Golf won its second tournament of the fall, capturing the MU Fall Shootout by a 17-shot margin in the five-team field. Senior
Paige Diecidue won the event individually, firing a two-under par 70 in the final round to capture top honors.
Monmouth shot its third round under 300 to clinch the victory, firing a 296 in the final round to win by 17. Diecidue followed a 76 with a two-under par 70 to win the tournament by one over teammate
Ava Lozito, who ranked solo second after a one-over par 73 in the opening round. Three more Hawks ranked in the top-10, led by
Liddie McCook who posted a 75 on Sunday. Freshman
Sophia Ramirez Velandia was eighth after shooting 79, while
Claire Orr's Sunday 79 vaulted her into ninth.

NOTES
-This is the fourth win of Diecidue's collegiate career.
-Monmouth wins its second event of the fall.
-MU shot 308-296 as a team to finish 17 shots ahead of second-place Hofstra as well as topping St. Francis PA, Niagara and LaSalle.
-Five Hawks placed in the top-10 of the event.
-MU shot a team round inside of 300 for the first time this season. Previously, it had not been done since at least the 2004-05 season.
