RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Monmouth women's basketball team fell to Manhattan, 73-57, in a Sunday night MAAC tilt.
Â
The Hawks (10-7, 5-3 MAAC) held a double-digit lead with 1:43 on the clock in the opening quarter after a strong shooting start from
Kaci Donovan. The second-year guard knocked down four of her first four shots from the field, including a trio of 3-pointers. However, the Jaspers (12-8, 7-4 MAAC) got into an offensive rhythm and outscored Monmouth, 22-6, over a stretch of 9:08 before going into the half up by six, 39-33. Â
Â
That would be as close as the Hawks would get as the Jaspers continued to build on their lead before securing their seventh straight home win of the season.
Â

Ariana Vanderhoop finished the night with 11 points, while
Stella Clark logged nine in the scoring column to pair with five boards. Â
