WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team's four-game winning streak came to an end after a 6-0 loss to No. 16 Rutgers on Friday afternoon at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.
The nationally-ranked Scarlet Knights jumped out in front with a goal in the 21
st minute, and built a 4-0 advantage following a run of three goals spanning a 10-minute stretch late in the first half and after halftime.
Rutgers ran the final total to 6-0 with goals in the 73
rd and 83
rd minutes.
