WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Two first half goals sent Binghamton past the Monmouth University men's soccer team on Saturday, 2-0. The Hawks did not allow a goal over the last 70 minutes despite playing a man down.
Senior
Christoffer Jensen (Hobro, Denmark/Tradium HHX/Marian) led Monmouth with two total shots, both of which were on goal.
Redshirt senior goalkeeper
Sean Murray (Fanwood, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) made two saves in the loss.
Monmouth drops to 2-2-2 on the season, and will wrap up non-conference play next Saturday at Penn.

-The Bearcats got on the board first in the seventh minute. Noah Luescher dribbled down the left side and sent a cross to the far post. Matthew Cozetti headed it down and Ethan Homler tapped it in.
-After a Monmouth red card, Luescher sent a free kick into the upper right corner to make it 2-0.
-The Hawks registered two shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of the second half, including strikes from

Jonas Lyshoj, but both were saved.
