WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer lost the final game of its non-league schedule to Harvard by a 4-1 final on Sunday at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.
The visiting Crimson broke the ice in the 25
th minute when Murphy Agnew put a shot off the inside of the post from the edge of the Monmouth penalty area. Harvard then built a 2-0 lead just before halftime when a nice bit of passing led to a goal by Angela Caloia.
Monmouth swung the momentum early in the second half and cut the deficit in half when
Lauren Karabin got her foot on a
Jesi Rossman cross to deflect the ball into the goal.
Harvard held off Monmouth and added goals in the 76
th and 86
th minute to run the final tally to 4-1.
