WOMEN’S SOCCER DROPS NON-CONFERENCE FINALE TO HARVARD

FINAL SCORE
Harvard 4 (4-0-1)
Monmouth 1 (4-3-0)

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer lost the final game of its non-league schedule to Harvard by a 4-1 final on Sunday at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

The visiting Crimson broke the ice in the 25th minute when Murphy Agnew put a shot off the inside of the post from the edge of the Monmouth penalty area. Harvard then built a 2-0 lead just before halftime when a nice bit of passing led to a goal by Angela Caloia.

Monmouth swung the momentum early in the second half and cut the deficit in half when Lauren Karabin got her foot on a Jesi Rossman cross to deflect the ball into the goal.

Harvard held off Monmouth and added goals in the 76th and 86th minute to run the final tally to 4-1.
