WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Goals by Lauren Karabin and Alexis Marino provided the offense while the defense continued its run of strong play as the Monmouth University women's soccer team improved to 3-0 with a 2-0 victory over Delaware on Thursday night at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn. 

The Hawks recorded their third consecutive shutout to start the season as Rebecca Winslow made three saves in goal.

- Monmouth has its first 3-0 start since the 2015 season when it opened the year with four straight wins.
- Monmouth leads the all-time series against Delaware, 8-1-0. The Hawks have won back-to-back games against the Blue Hens.

- Lauren Karabin netted her 10th-career goal and second of the year. It was her sixth-career game-winning goal.
- Alexis Marino scored her third-career goal. 
- Olivia Ramiz registered an assist on Karabin's goal in her home debut.
- Jesi Rossman and Brianna Russo each collected assists on Marino's goal. It was the first assist of Russo's career. 
- Rebecca Winslow registered her second clean sheet of the season and the sixth of her career. Winslow extended her shutout streak to 454:51
- Monmouth is unbeaten in 60 straight matches when scoring first (59-0-1).
- The Hawks have recorded six straight shutouts dating back to last season. Monmouth's team shutout streak stands at 544:51.
- Monmouth had the slight edges in shots, 9-8, with each team putting three shots on goal.
