CHARLOTTE, NC-Â The Big South Conference has announced that this weekend's football game between Robert Morris University and Monmouth University has been cancelled due to limited student-athlete availability within the RMU program that will prevent the Colonials from being able to play.
Â
The game is considered a cancelation and will not be made up as the Hawks will wait to find out their playoff opponent at this Sunday's selection show. The contest between the Hawks and Colonials was a reschedule from March 10, a game that was postponed after Robert Morris had positive Covid-19 tests in its program after playing a non-conference game two weeks earlier.
Â
Monmouth, which won its second Big South Conference Championship on Saturday after defeating No. 7 Kennesaw State 42-17, is 3-0 in conference play this spring. Robert Morris, who begins its first season as members of the Big South Conference, finishes the spring 0-3 after falling to Charleston Southern 27-14 last Saturday. The Hawks and Colonials have met 20 times as former conference members in the Northeast Conference, with the Hawks winning the last three meetings.

The NCAA FCS Selection Show is slated for Sunday, April 18 at 11:30 AM.
