WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team dropped its first game of the 2020-21 season to Quinnipiac on Saturday night at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn. 

The visiting Bobcats scored in the 79th minute and held Monmouth scoreless on the other end in the eventual 1-0 decision. 

Each team recorded four shots in the contest, with Emily Loney beating Monmouth goalie Rebecca Winslow when she found herself alone behind the Monmouth back four.

- The loss snapped a 19-match unbeaten streak for Monmouth.
