Ireen Frenken scored Monmouth's first goal in the fourth quarter off of a penalty stroke to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Temple answered right back with a goal of their own a few minutes later to tie the game at one.Â

Monmouth could not turn its shot opportunities into goals against the Owls. Monmouth registered eight shots on goal to Temple's two, but the Owls were able to turn both of their opportunities into goals. The Hawks had several shots in overtime but could not convert before Temple's decisive tally. Â
