ORONO, ME – The Monmouth University field hockey team (12-6, 6-2 AE) was shutout in the semifinal round of the America East Championship by UAlbany (11-8, 6-2 AE), 1-0.

The lone goal of the match came with under two minutes to go in the opening quarter, when Blanca Orsola found the back of the net unassisted for the Great Danes. It was a defensive battle the rest of the way with few scoring opportunities for both sides.

The Hawks finish the season with an overall record of 12-6, including a 6-2 record in regular season America East conference play.
