WOMEN’S SOCCER TOPS FAIRFIELD IN DOUBLE OVERTIME

FAIRFIELD, CT – Olivia Ramiz's double-overtime goal lifted the Monmouth University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Fairfield on Wednesday evening at Lessing Field.

Monmouth's unbeaten run to open MAAC play continued as the Hawks pitched their third consecutive shutout to improve to 4-0-1 in the conference. After an even opening 45 minutes, Monmouth took control and outshot Fairfield 23-7 prior to Ramiz's game-winner. 
 
Rebecca Winslow posted a clean sheet in goal for the Hawks with six saves.

- Monmouth improved to 8-3-1 on the season and 4-0-1 in the MAAC.

- It was the second straight double-overtime game between the two sides.

NUMBERS CRUNCH
- Olivia Ramiz scored her first-career goal.
 - Rebecca Winslow tallied a career-high six saves in goal for the Hawks and moved to 4-1-1 on the season. 
- Winslow picked up her fourth shutout of the season and eighth of her career.
- Monmouth had the advantage in shots, 28-12, and a 15-6 edge in shots on goal.
- The Hawks earned seven corner kicks and Fairfield took six.
