FAIRFIELD, CT – Olivia Ramiz's double-overtime goal lifted the Monmouth University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Fairfield on Wednesday evening at Lessing Field.
Monmouth's unbeaten run to open MAAC play continued as the Hawks pitched their third consecutive shutout to improve to 4-0-1 in the conference. After an even opening 45 minutes, Monmouth took control and outshot Fairfield 23-7 prior to Ramiz's game-winner.
Rebecca Winslow posted a clean sheet in goal for the Hawks with six saves.
