HAWKS CRUISE TO 3-1 WIN IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Monmouth women's soccer team wrapped up its 2021 regular season with a 3-1 road win at Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon.  
 
Three different Hawks (12-4-1, 8-1-1 MAAC) scored in the victory over the Jaspers (7-7-1, 3-6-1 MAAC). Chloe Ferreira got it started with a goal in the 26th minute off the feed from Erin Dailey. Monmouth went up 2-0 in the 62nd minute after A'Liah Moore found the back of the net after receiving the ball from Alexa Correa.   
 
A little over five minutes later, the Hawks saw their lead grow to three once Jesi Rossman tallied her fourth goal of the season.

-Ava Sullivan made her first collegiate start.

NUMBERS CRUNCH
-Monmouth closed out the regular season with a 12-4-1 overall record and 8-1-1 mark in MAAC play.
-The Hawks outshot the Jaspers, 19-6.
-Monmouth held the edge in corners, 5-4.
-The Hawks have totaled at least eight MAAC wins in every season, with at least eight games played, since joining the conference in 2013.

UP NEXT
-The Hawks will host Manhattan in the quarterfinal round of the MAAC Tournament on Sunday at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn with the start time still to be announced.
