MONMOUTH CROWNED REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS AFTER WIN OVER SIENA

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth women's soccer team earned the MAAC regular season title after topping Siena, 1-0, at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn on Saturday.

The Hawks (11-4-1, 7-1-1 MAAC) have now won the regular season title in eight of nine seasons since joining the conference in 2013.

Monmouth tallied its lone score of the afternoon in the 38th minute when Chloe Ferreira sent a ball into the box that was headed by Jill Conklin before being tapped into the back of the net by Brianna Russo.

The Hawks' defense held strong and after Maddie Ogden made a pair of early stops in the fourth minute, Siena (8-8-1, 6-3-0 MAAC) was held without a single shot on goal for remaining 86 minutes of action.
