WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth men's soccer team dropped a MAAC match to Marist, 1-0, on Wednesday night at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

The Red Foxes (8-6-1, 5-2-MAAC) buried a shot in the 77th minute that turned out to be the difference maker against the Hawks (7-4-2, 5-1 MAAC).

Monmouth had an opportunity late to even the score after being fouled in the box. However, the Julian Gomez strike with less than a minute left was stopped by the Marist goalkeeper.
