WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team continued its unbeaten run to start conference play with a 1-0 victory over Saint Peter's on Saturday evening at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

The Hawks improved to 3-0-1 in the MAAC after Sarina Jones' goal made the difference in the match. The winning tally came in the 76th minute following a corner kick that was set up by Lauren Karabin and Jesi Rossman

Maddie Ogden stood firm in goal and made two saves in the shutout for Monmouth.

- Sarina Jones scored her fifth-career goal and second of the season. It was her third-career game winner.
- Lauren Karabin and Jesi Rossman each collected assists on the goal. 
- Karabin leads Monmouth with 12 points on the season (5 G, 2 A).
- Rossman has four assists in 2021 and six for her career. She is second on the team with six points in 2021 (1 G, 4 A).
- Maddie Ogden totaled two saves in goal for the Hawks and moved to 4-2-0 on the season. 
- Ogden picked up her second shutout of the season and third of her career.
- Monmouth had the advantage in shots, 10-7, and a 4-2 edge in shots on goal.
- The Hawks earned seven corner kicks and held Saint Peter's without one.
