Led by three scorers in double-figures and a strong defensive showing, Rider defeated Monmouth last Saturday, 48-25. The Hawks held Rider to its second-lowest point total of the season and 36.5% from the floor, but the Broncs registered 10 steals and held the Hawks to single digits in three quarters. Senior Akilah Jennings led the team with 11 points, making three field goals and five free throws. She also added six rebounds. Senior Alexa Middleton registered five points and seven rebounds in the loss.

Three-time defending MAAC Champion Quinnipiac has registered a 7-3 conference record so far this season. The Bobcats have won three straight games. Junior guard Shaq Edwards leads the team with 14.8 points per game and 61 assists. Senior guard Taylor Herd adds 10.1 points per game and leads the team with 34 triples on the year. Four other players (Morris, Haywood, Warfel, DeWees) are averaging at least 8.1 points per game.
