NOTES AND QUOTES

"I thought we actually generated some pretty quality shots. We had a number of missed layups and free throws today. It's unfortunate that for whatever reason, we're just not finishing the play. You have to play through whatever adversity is presented. We have to play like winners regardless of the circumstances. When things didn't go well, we fought all the way through. We need to continue having that mentality." - Monmouth Head Coach Jody Craig

-After Monmouth won the tip and scored the first basket of the game, the Broncs answered with a 7-0 run.
-By the end of the first quarter, Rider held on to a slight 12-10 lead. The Hawks shot 4-of-17 in the quarter, while the Broncs went 5-of-17.
-Monmouth shot 1-16 from the field in the second quarter, but remained tough defensively. At halftime, Rider led 23-14.
-The Hawks were forced to call a timeout with 7:38 left in the third quarter after a 6-0 Rider run.
-Rider used another 6-0 to close the third quarter. Heading into the fourth, the Broncs led 40-19.
-The Broncs slightly outscored the Hawks 8-6 in the final frame, sealing the win.
