LAST TIME OUT
An 8-0 run to end the game propelled Canisius over Monmouth last Saturday, 71-62. Senior Rosa Graham hit a three-pointer to cut the deficit to one with 3:40 left, but the Golden Griffins answered with a layup, a triple, and three free throws while forcing Monmouth to miss its last ten shots.  Senior Alexa Middleton led the Hawks with 18 points and 14 rebounds, registering her third double-double of the season. Sophomore Lucy Thomas added 15 points and 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
 
SCOUTING THE FAIRFIELD STAGS
Fairfield was picked sixth in the MAAC Preseason Poll, and sophomore Lou Lopez-Senechal was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team after being named MAAC Rookie of the Year last season. She currently leads the team with 13.4 points per game. Redshirt senior forward Katie Armstrong is adding 11.9 points and leads the team with 6.6 rebounds per contest. The Stags won their MAAC opener a week ago at Siena, 65-35. Fairfield jumped out to a 40-18 lead at halftime.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. FAIRFIELD
The Stags have a 10-7 all-time series lead, but the Hawks earned two wins last season. On the road, Monmouth shot 26-49 FG (53.1%) and 11-16 3FG (68.8%).
