Canisius was selected eighth in the MAAC Preseason Poll. The team has lost seven straight games, including a 68-50 setback to Manhattan in their MAAC opener on Thursday. Preseason All-MAAC Second Team guard D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks leads the team and ranks third in the conference with 17.5 points per game. Senior forward Tiana Pugh is adding 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Junior forward Danielle Sanderlin leads the team with 6.0 rebounds per contest to go along with 8.8 points.
