LAST TIME OUT
Using a 17-2 run to end the third quarter, Quinnipiac defeated Monmouth on Thursday morning, 60-53. The Bobcats went 18-of-30 from the free throw line, while the Hawks made 7-of-9. Senior Sierra Green led the team with 19 points for the second straight game, including 10 in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Lucy Thomas scored 17 points (7-14 FG) to go along with nine rebounds in the loss.
 
SCOUTING THE NIAGARA PURPLE EAGLES
Niagara was selected seventh in the MAAC Preseason Poll, and senior guard Jai Moore was named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team. Moore currently leads the team with 14.8 points per game, with a season-high 27 against Rider in the MAAC opener. Senior guard Maggie McIntyre is second on the team with 10.2 points per contest and leads the team with 24 assists. Junior forward Emerald Ekpiteta leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game and is adding 7.8 points. The Purple Eagles are coming off a 63-57 win at Iona on Thursday.

The Hawks hold an 8-5 all-time series lead, including two wins last season. Lucy Thomas scored 39 combined points in the victories.
