TEANECK, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team picked up its first win of the 2019 season with a 1-0 triumph over Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday night at University Stadium.
After controlling the play for a majority of the match, Monmouth finally broke through with the decisive goal in the 83
rd minute.
Lauren Karabin scored her first goal in a Monmouth uniform with a left-footed shot that dinged off the inside of the far post and into the back of the FDU goal. A run through a couple of defenders by
Dana Scheriff set Karabin up for the game-winner.
