Sam Tomasetti hit an RBI double, and freshman
Lindsey Baron picked up her first career RBI on a sacrifice fly. Sophomore
Alyssa Irons pitched six full innings in game one against Ball State, giving up three runs while striking out four batters. Irons also hit a single in the bottom of the seventh in game two. Monmouth falls to 0-2 on the season, and will look to bounce back against Delaware and Belmont tomorrow. Â

-With two outs in the bottom of the first, Ball State hit a home run to left field to take a 1-0 lead.
-After a double steal gave Ball State a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third, the Cardinals tacked on another with an RBI double to right center. A walk loaded the bases with one out, but Irons got out of the jam with a strikeout and a foul out.
-Sophomore
Katie Harrington produced Monmouth's first hit in the sixth inning, but the Hawks could not score and eventually fell 3-0.
-In game two, sophomore
Lilly Robles earned the start in the circle, pitching five full innings.
-Central Arkansas got on the board first with a two-RBI double to right center in the top of the second. Robles minimized the damage by striking out a batter with runners on second and third.
-In the bottom of the third, Harrington reached on an error. Tomasetti brought her home with an RBI double down the left field line to make it 2-1.
-Two Hawks were hit by a pitch in the bottom of the fifth, and two pinch runners came in. With senior

Morgan Maziarz on second, Baron hit a sacrifice fly to left field.
-Central Arkansas scored the game-winning runs in the top of the sixth on a wild pitch and a double steal. Junior
Deangie Jimenez threw out a runner at home on the play before.
