WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Basketball's game against Canisius College on February 22
nd has been flexed to be televised on ESPNU, it was announced Friday. The game will tip at 7:00 p.m.
Monmouth will play 25 of 31 regular season games on the ESPN family of networks this season, with this being MU's first nationally televised home game of the season. The last time the Blue and White appeared on a linear platform at home was the 2017 National Invitation Tournament against Ole Miss, which aired on ESPN2.
MU and Canisius have met once this season, a Golden Griffins win in Buffalo on January 24
th. The Griffs are currently 5-3 in the MAAC, while Monmouth is 6-4. The wildcard format allows ESPN to pick any game scheduled for that specific date to air on ESPNU and allows the MAAC and ESPN the flexibility to showcase the best matchups as the season progresses.
Monmouth is back in action tomorrow against Rider at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
