HAMDEN, CT – The Monmouth University women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-0 road victory against Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon at Quinnipiac Soccer Complex.
The Hawks controlled the action through the first 45 minutes and held a 5-0 shots on goal advantage at halftime. They broke through in the 63
rd minute when
Dana Scheriff drew a penalty kick when she was taken down from behind.
Maddison Perna converted the penalty to put Monmouth ahead and the Hawks came away with the eventual 1-0 victory.
Amanda Knaub earned the shutout in goal with two saves.
