SCHERIFF SCORES OVERTIME WINNER AT MANHATTAN

FINAL SCORE
Monmouth 1 (7-3-1, 2-1-0 MAAC)
Manhattan 0 (1-5-2, 0-2-1 MAAC)

RIVERDALE, NY – Dana Scheriff's goal in the 100th minute lifted the Monmouth University women's soccer team to an overtime victory over Manhattan on Wednesday night at Gaelic Park.

Scheriff's game-winner came with 17 seconds remaining in the first overtime session after a run down the right sideline by Sarina Jones helped set up the goal. Her right-footed cross found Lexie Palladino, who fired a low shot that was parried by the Manhattan keeper into the path of Scheriff, who one-timed it into the empty net.

The Hawks dictated the action throughout a majority of the match and held a 7-1 advantage in shots before halftime and a 21-1 edge during regulation time.
