FINAL SCORE
Monmouth 1 (8-3-1, 3-1-0 MAAC)
Siena 0 (3-6-3, 0-1-2 MAAC)
WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Lexie Palladino's first-half goal propelled the Monmouth University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over visiting Siena on Saturday night at Hesse Field on the Great Lawn.
The goal was a result of a clinical bit of passing that began with rookie midfielder
Jill Conklin. She sent a ball to the endline for
Dana Scheriff, who sent a low cross into the penalty area for Palladino, who ran in and one-timed a shot past Siena keeper Taylor Dorado.
Dorado was stellar in goal for Siena and made a number of saves to keep the Siena deficit at one throughout the match. She totaled 12 saves as Monmouth controlled the action en route to its third consecutive win.
