EDISON, NJ – Junior Srdjan Jakovljevic of the Monmouth University men's tennis team has been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today. Jakovljevic went 2-0 at No. 2 singles this weekend, propelling the Hawks to two non-conference wins.

In Monmouth's 4-0 victory over Wagner on Saturday, he earned the 6-2, 7-5 win in the No. 2 slot. Hours later, in the Hawks' 4-3 edge of Army, Jakovljevic won an important 6-2, 7-6 decision.

This is the second MAAC Player of the Week honor for Jakovljevic, who previously won on February 28.

The Hawks return to action this Saturday, when they host Siena at 10:00 AM before traveling to Saint Peter's for a 3:00 PM match.
