NEW YORK, NY – The Monmouth University men's tennis team dropped a decision to No. 5 Columbia on Saturday, 7-0. Junior Nicola Pipoli battled No. 7 Victor Pham at No. 1 singles, but fell 6-1, 6-2. At No. 2 singles, junior Srdjan Jakovljevic fell to No. 37 Jackie Tang by a margin of 6-3, 6-0. In doubles play, Pipoli and teammate Ale Gomez Estrada were trailing 5-2 to No. 11 duo Pham/Tang before going unfinished. Jakovljevic and teammate Sergio Martinez fell to No. 21 Lin/Matheson, 6-1. The Hawks dropped to 3-9 on the season, and will face Temple and Princeton next weekend.
