WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Three first-half goals lifted the Monmouth University women's soccer team to victory over No. 4 Niagara in the MAAC Semifinal on Thursday evening at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.
The top-seeded Hawks came out ready to play and scored twice in the first 11 minutes and built a 3-0 lead in the 24
th minute.
Lexie Palladino set up Monmouth's first two goals as
Madie Gibson and
Jill Conklin each found the back of the net to start the game.
Jazlyn Moya added a third to push Monmouth's lead to three.
In goal,
Amanda Knaub made three saves to preserve Monmouth's shutout win.
