WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team left no doubt in a 7-1 victory over No. 3 Siena in Sunday's MAAC Championship match at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.
The No. 1 seed Hawks built a 2-0 halftime lead and scored three times in the first six minutes of the second half to pull away from the visiting Saints. Rookie
Jesi Rossman scored twice on headers to open the second half as Monmouth doubled its lead to 4-0, before
Alli DeLuca put one in in the 51
st minute.
The Hawks had six different goal scorers en route to their third straight MAAC Championship and 11
th consecutive win overall.
