WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Two goals by
Dana Scheriff helped the Monmouth University women's soccer team run out to a four-goal lead, and the Hawks eventually came away with the 4-1 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.
Scheriff started the scoring in the 11
th minute with a shot from the far sideline that found the inside netting on the far post. The Hawks added a second when
A'Liah Moore tapped in a finish on the goal line as Monmouth built a 2-0 halftime lead.
Monmouth came out to start the second half with a pair of goals less than a minute apart as Scheriff and
Madie Gibson each beat Quinnipiac keeper Olivia Myszewski.
