WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Two goals by Dana Scheriff helped the Monmouth University women's soccer team run out to a four-goal lead, and the Hawks eventually came away with the 4-1 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

Scheriff started the scoring in the 11^th minute with a shot from the far sideline that found the inside netting on the far post. The Hawks added a second when A'Liah Moore tapped in a finish on the goal line as Monmouth built a 2-0 halftime lead.

Monmouth came out to start the second half with a pair of goals less than a minute apart as Scheriff and Madie Gibson each beat Quinnipiac keeper Olivia Myszewski.

- Dana Scheriff registered the first two-goal game of her career. Scheriff doubled her season total to four goals and now has 11 points on the year.
- A'Liah Moore scored her third goal of the year and picked up her first-career game-winning goal.
- Alli DeLuca contributed two assists in the game. DeLuca is tied with Madie Gibson for the team lead with 14 points in 2018.
- Gibson scored for the second straight game and put in her fifth goal of the year and the 24th goal of her career.
- In four career games against Quinnipiac, Gibson has eight points on two goals and four assists.
- Gibson has 70 career points, which ties her with Rachelle Ross '18 for 13th in Monmouth history.
- Goalkeeper Amanda Knaub finished with eight saves in the match. Knaub's shutout streak came to an end at 473:01 when Quinnipiac scored in the 69th minute.
- Shots were even at 15-15 in the game, and the Bobcats earned four corner kicks to Monmouth's three.
