FIELD HOCKEY BLANKS LOCK HAVEN IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Freshman goalkeeper Kate O'Hogan made eight saves, including six in the second half, to preserve two first-half goals en route to the Monmouth University field hockey team's 2-0 road victory at Lock Haven, Friday afternoon in the regular season finale.

Monmouth (11-6) opened the scoring in the 21st minute as Ireen Frenken connected on a corner strike from the top of the circle to give the Hawks a lead they would never relinquish.  Just over three minutes later, sophomore Meg de Lange set a hard pass to Georgia Garden Bachop outside the circle where she took control of the ball, dribbled in and sent a hard shot to the far post to give the Blue and White the two-goal advantage.  Garden Bachop has now scored in seven straight games for the Hawks.

O'Hogan earned her seventh win of the year with her third shutout.
