WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Jessica Johnson's goal in the 54th minute lifted the Monmouth University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over visiting Seton Hall on Monday evening at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

Following a scoreless first half, Monmouth wasted little time in finding the decisive goal. The Hawks earned a corner kick on the near sideline and Johnson bent a right-footed cross into the far side netted past a diving Anna MacLean.  

Monmouth goalie Amanda Knaub finished off her third shutout of the season with a two of her five saves after the Hawks secured the lead.
