Lehigh 0 (0-0-1)
BETHLEHEM, PA – The Monmouth University women's soccer team opened its 2017 season with a scoreless draw against Lehigh on Friday evening at Ulrich Sports Complex.
The two sides were scoreless at halftime thanks in large part to a clear off the line by Monmouth's
Jackie Louro in the 39th minute.
Shots on goal in the match favored Lehigh, 14-8, but the best scoring chance of the night came from Monmouth with two minutes remaining in regulation. Senior
Miranda Konstantinides sent a right-footed blast toward the upper corner of the Lehigh goal, but Sam Miller was there to deflect the attempt wide.
