WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Competing until the very last set of the day, the Monmouth University women's tennis team was outlasted by MAAC opponent Niagara on Sunday morning, 4-3. The Hawks earned three singles wins and a doubles win on the day, but were edged by the Purple Eagles in the third set at #5 singles.

NOTES

-In a battle at #1 singles, Adriana Armendariz earned the win in the third set, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4.

-Kendal Kauffman defeated Niagara's Sansriti Ranjan at #4 singles, 6-4, 6-1.

-Caroline Mattise also won during the singles portion, picking up the 7-5, 6-3 victory at #6.

-The Hawks duo of Kauffman and Mattise earned the #3 doubles win, defeating Niagara's Jasmin Vargas and Stella Peisakhova by a score of 6-4.
