BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Monmouth University women's tennis team fell to Elon University in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament on Thursday morning.
 
Elon took an early lead in the match by capturing the doubles point. The Phoenix picked up wins at second and third doubles to secure the point. Nitika Girish and Madison Mills were locked in a 4-2 battle at first doubles before the point was secured.
 
The Phoenix wrapped up the match with wins at third, fifth and sixth singles. 
 
Girish was battling in the second set at second singles with Sibel Tanik. Girish trailed just 5-3 in that set but the match went unfinished.
