JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team closed its 2017 regular season schedule with a 2-1 overtime victory over hOURglass rival Saint Peter's on Saturday afternoon at Jaroschak Field.
The Hawks fell behind in the 23
rd minute when Barbara Paiva scored for the home team. Monmouth found the equalizer a couple minutes before halftime when
Lexie Palladino's run set up
LeAnne Davis for her second goal of the year.
The score held through the end of regulation time before Monmouth broke the tie with a goal by
Madie Gibson.
Alli DeLuca set up the game winner and the Hawks closed their regular season with a 9-1-0 record in MAAC play.
