Ale Gomez Estrada finished competition for the Monmouth University men's tennis team at the 2017 ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, OK. The duo played in both singles and doubles after their selection to the tournament.
Pipoli earned the opening round win in the pre-qualifying singles bracket against Memphis' Shakeel Manji, 6-1, 6-3. The junior won his next match against UC Irvine's Luca Marguard, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, to advance to the round of 32. Pipoli finally fell in the round of 32 to Oklahoma's Ferran Calvo, 6-3, 6-4.
Gomez Estrada fell in the pre-qualifying singles bracket to Western Michigan's Jannik Opitz, 6-4, 7-5 before dropping the pre-qualifying consolation match to MTSU's Tom Moonen by the same margin.
The Hawks prepare for next weekend's matches at Princeton's Farnsworth Invitational. Competition is set for Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8.
