POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Monmouth University men's soccer team dropped its second straight MAAC overtime contest, falling at Marist on Wednesday night, 3-2. After the defeat in double overtime to Manhattan on Saturday, the Hawks were edged by the Red Foxes on the late goal. With 40 seconds left in overtime, Marist's Kevin Kappock gathered the loose ball and curved it inside the right post to give the Red Foxes the one-goal win. Monmouth opened the scoring in the 9

th minute. The Hawks fall to 4-7-1 (1-3 MAAC) on the season, and will host Siena on Saturday at 7:00 PM.
NOTES AND QUOTES
-Schaefer took the feed from Areman, and launched a shot that deflected off a Marist player, going up and over the goalkeeper to give Monmouth the 1-0 lead in the 9
th minute.
-With 18 minutes left in the first half, Marist sent a deep ball from the back line up to Nkansah-Siriboe, who made some moves in the box and equalized.
-In the 32
nd minute, Marist's Allen Gavilanes scored his fourth goal of the season, bending one inside the left post from 20 yards out.
-In the 80
th minute, Bromley scored his first goal of the season, heading home the pass from Areman on the set piece from near midfield.
-After neither team could find the back of the net after Bromley's goal, the Hawks competed in their fourth overtime of the season.
