WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ –  Loyola scored twice in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie and down the Monmouth University women's soccer team, 3-2, on Tuesday night at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

Monmouth scored first and later found an equalizer in the 65th minute to tie the game at two, but the visiting Greyhounds took advantage of a hand ball in the Monmouth penalty area to score the game-winner. Morgan Crable's penalty kick in the 72nd minute beat Monmouth goalkeeper Sydney Lavan (Jackson, NJ / Jackson) to her right.

- Monmouth scored first for the sixth time in eight matches.
- Alli DeLuca opened the scoring in the 24th minute after putting a bouncing ball into the upper corner following a Monmouth corner.
- Julianna Cabrera scored to tie the game for Loyola in the 35th minute on a set piece, before Maddie Boccio's goal made it 2-1 in the 60th minute.
- Rachael Ivanicki's goal tied the game in the 65th minute when she deflected in a cross by Rachelle Ross.
- Ross hit the crossbar seven minutes prior on a volley after a service by Julie Spracklin.
- Monmouth leads the all-time series with Loyola 3-1-0.
- The Hawks are 2-3-1 playing on turf in 2016.
- Freshman midfielder Esther Wellman made her first-career start.
- Wellman became the fifth true freshman to start a game this season.

- DeLuca's goal was her second of the season and the second of her career.
- Ivanicki scored for the second straight game and netted the 11th goal of her career. The senior forward now has 25 career points.
- Ivanicki and DeLuca are tied with Miranda Konstantinides for the team lead in goals with two apiece.
- Ross' assist increased her career point total to 34.
- Lavan and Loyola goalkeeper Sumer Rahe each made three saves.
