LEWISBURG, PA – Three second half goals propelled Bucknell past the Monmouth University women's soccer team, 3-1, on Friday evening at Emmitt Field.
Gabriella Cuevas (Wayne, NJ / Immaculate Heart Academy [UConn]) opened the scoring for Monmouth with a headed goal on a set piece to help the Hawks secure a 1-0 halftime advantage. The home side responded with a pair of goals 1:17 apart less than seven minutes into the second half and capitalized on a late own goal to run the final score to 3-1.
