OPENING TIP
Monmouth closes the regular season today after clinching the top seed in the MAAC Tournament Friday. The Hawks secured the programs first regular season title since 2005 with a win Friday night over Rider. MU has won 10 of 11 and defeated Niagara in December on the road, 56-42. The Purple Eagles have dropped seven of eight and are 1-14 on the road.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Monmouth has taken all five games from Niagara since joining the MAAC in 2013-14, sweeping the Purple Eagles the last two years. The only other matchup between the teams came in 2008, when Niagara bested Monmouth 71-48 on 11/28 in the Philly Hoop Classic.

LAST TIME OUT     
Monmouth got 19 points from Micah Seaborn and a season-high 12 from Zac Tillman in beating Rider 79-58 on Friday night to clinch at least a share of the program's first regular season title since 2005 and the top seed in the 2016 MAAC Tournament. MU led by 12 at the half and went up by as many as 23 in the game.
