WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University women's golf coach Susan DeKalb has announced the addition of Cassidy Gavaghan (Ambler, PA/Hatboro Horsham) to her roster beginning next fall. Gavaghan, who signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Hawks, enjoyed a successful career for the Hatters of Hatboro Horsham High School.
“We are very excited to have Cassidy a part of the women's golf family at Monmouth University,” commented DeKalb, now in her fourth season at the helm of the program. “Cassidy has great length off the tee, a nice putting stroke and a very good work ethic. I look forward to working with her and having her realize her potential in the classroom and on the golf course.”
A four-year letter winner and three-year captain for the Hatters under head coach Glenn Kaiser,
Gavaghan helped lead the squad to two Pioneer Athletic Conference Championships and two top-10
finishes at the state championship. The Ambler, PA native, who was tabbed as the team MVP all four seasons, was a two-time All-Suburban and All-PAC recipient. At the conference championships, the future Hawk finished in the top-five individually on two occasions.
DeKalb and the Hawks continue their 2016-2017 slate this upcoming February.
