FAIRFIELD, CT –  The Monmouth University women's soccer team picked up a point in the MAAC standings after playing Fairfield to a scoreless draw on Wednesday night at Lessing Field.

The result improved Monmouth's standing at the top of the conference as the Hawks increased their MAAC point total to 22. Monmouth held a 21-7 advantage in shots, including a 17-5 edge after halftime, and forced Fairfield goalkeeper Megan DeFeo to make nine saves.

Monmouth goalkeeper Amanda Knaub (Enola, PA / Trinty) registered four saves to pick up her seventh shutout of the season.

- The Hawks are unbeaten in their last 13 MAAC regular season matches.
- Monmouth increased its overall unbeaten streak to eight games, its longest since the 2014 season when it won eight straight matches.
- The Blue and White improved to 6-2-1 on the road this season, and are unbeaten in their last seven road matches.
- The seven game road unbeaten streak is the longest for MU since its nine-game road winning streak in 2009.
- Monmouth leads the all-time series with Fairfield 5-1-1.

 NUMBERS CRUNCH
- Madie Gibson's seven-game points streak came to an end.
 - Knaub improved to 9-1-2 on the year. The freshman goalkeeper set a new career high with four saves.
- Knaub's shutout was her seventh of the season, the most for a freshman goalkeeper since Lia Fierro had eight in 2007.
- Monmouth's nine shutouts are the most for the program since 2014 (11).  
- It was the 13th time this season Monmouth has held its opposition to less than three corner kicks.
- The Hawks have outshot their opponents 281-106 this season.
