ROSS SCORES TWICE AS WOMEN'S SOCCER TOPS SIENA

FINAL SCORE
Monmouth 4 (9-4-1, 6-0-0 MAAC)
Siena 2 (6-5-3, 4-2-0 MAAC)

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ –  A pair of second-half goals by Rachelle Ross (Mount Laurel, NJ / Lenape) helped the Monmouth University women's soccer team defeat Siena, 4-2, and capture its sixth straight win on Wednesday evening at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

Alexis McTamney (Bordentown, NJ / Bordentown) and Madie Gibson (Cape May, NJ / Lower Cape May) each added goals for Monmouth as the Hawks knocked off the defending MAAC Tournament Champions.

Both of Siena's goals came as a result of set pieces as Madison Vasquez tied the contest at 1-1 in the 26th minute and Kelsey Horst cut the deficit to 3-2 with six minutes to play in regulation. Tara Sobierajski assisted both goals for the Saints.
