WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's soccer team scored seven first-half goals en route to an 8-0 victory over hOURglass rival Saint Peter's on Saturday night at Hesse Field on the Great Lawn.
The Hawks remained undefeated in conference play at 3-0-0 as they dictated the action from the opening whistle. Monmouth scored three times in the first 10 minutes as
Alexis McTamney (Bordentown, NJ / Bordentown ),
Miranda Konstantinides (Voorhees, NJ / Eastern) and
Madie Gibson (Cape May, NJ / Lower Cape May) each scored. Konstantinides added a second goal in the 14th minute to make it 4-0 before the Hawks added three more tallies in the final seven minutes of the opening half.
Defensively, Monmouth earned another shutout victory as
Amanda Knaub (Enola, PA / Trinity) and
Carlie Till (Butler, NJ / Montclair Kimberly Academy) shared goalkeeping duties.
