ORLANDO, Fla. – The Monmouth University men's and women's golf teams are set to tee off in the 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Golf Championships, which will be hosted at Disney's Magnolia Golf Club, this upcoming weekend, April 24-26. Live scoring will be available throughout the weekend, while Sunday's finale will be broadcasted live on ESPN3.
The men's golf team enters the weekend looking to punch its ticket to the program's second NCAA Tournament. Led by long-time head coach Dennis Shea, the Hawks have posted a 304.4 stroke average over the course of 10 tournaments this season. In its first year in the MAAC, MU finished with a share of second overall, while then-junior Brady Goodling landed second on the individual leaderboard, posting 227 over the 54 holes.
The women's quad team heads into its second-ever MAAC Championships looking to build off last year's fourth place result. Under the direction of second-year head coach, Susan DeKalb, the Monmouth lineup features a pair of juniors teamed with a trio of freshmen with only one player making a return trip to the conference event. As a team, the Blue and White compiled a stroke average of 335.9 in eight events this season.
