Gabriella Cuevas ’18M joined the Monmouth University women's soccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August, 2018.
Cuevas assisted the program for the 2018 season before joining Maccabi Kiryat Gat F.C. of the Women's Premier League in Israel in late October 2018. Cuevas also had a brief stint with Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League on a national team replacement contract in late August 2018.
Cuevas, who spent two seasons at Monmouth while earning a master’s degree in social work, helped the Hawks win consecutive MAAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in 2016 and 2017. A Second Team All-MAAC selection in 2016, Cuevas earned First Team All-MAAC honors in 2017 as well as MAAC Defensive Player of the Year recognition. The former team captain also became the third Monmouth women’s soccer student-athlete to earn a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region First Team award following final season.
Cuevas is a 2016 graduate of UConn, where she played for the Huskies from 2012-15.
