Jewonda Bright enters her third season on the Hawks' bench after enjoying a stellar playing career with the Hawks. Bright, who arrived at Monmouth after her freshman season after transfering from Delaware State University, will mentor the post players, manage film exchange and run the summer camp in West Long Branch.

The 2004 graduate brought tremendous energy and athleticism to the Hawks, as she ended her playing career as an exceptional post player. During her senior year, she was named to the Northeast Conference All-Tournament team and finished her tenure averaging 13.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per outing. Bright ended her playing career ranked seventh on the all-time scoring list with 1,121 points, which she accumulated in only three seasons for the Hawks. She also ranks 10th on the all-time rebounding list with 569 boards for her career.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Bright graduated with a degree in biology from in 2004 and is pursuing a Master's in criminal justice.
