Monmouth University Women's Basketball Head Coach Jody Craig announced the hiring of Jacinda Dunbar as an assistant coach in July of 2020. Dunbar, a native of Edison, NJ, played at Quinnipiac from 2008-12 where she registered 789 points and 593 rebounds.
 
Dunbar comes to West Long Branch from Saint Francis (PA), where she served as an assistant coach last season. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Basketball Operations at Northwestern during their postseason run to the 2019 WNIT championship game.
 
Dunbar previously spent three years as an assistant coach for Yale, where she helped guide the Bulldogs to a program-record 19-win season.
 
She coached two-time Ivy League defensive player of the year Tamara Simpson and mentored post player Jen Berkowitz to First Team All-Ivy honors after she led the conference in field goal percentage for two years in a row.
 
Dunbar earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Quinnipiac in 2012 and a master's degree in liberal studies from Wesleyan in 2015.
